Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This policy explains what information Helbreath Nemesis collects, why we collect it, who
it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the game client, the
game servers, this website, and the 24/7 player stream described in section 3.
By creating an account or playing on our servers you accept this policy. If you do not
agree with it, please do not create an account.
1. Information you give us
- Account data — username, password and e-mail address, supplied
when you register or when you change them later. The e-mail address is used to recover
access to your account and to send service notices; we do not sell it.
- Character data — character names, guild, faction, level,
inventory, statistics and everything else your characters do in the world. This is the
game itself: it cannot be turned off while you play.
- Communications — in-game chat, support tickets, and messages you
send to staff. In-game chat is logged.
- Payment data — when you buy coins or items we record the
transaction, its amount and its status. We never see or store your card
details. Payments are processed by PayPal, Mercado Pago or Steam, each
under its own privacy policy.
2. Information collected automatically
- Connection data — IP address, connection times and session
duration. We use these to run the service, to enforce bans, and to detect account
sharing, duplication and other cheating.
- Client telemetry — the game client periodically reports your
character name, guild, faction, current map and level, together with technical
information about the client itself: version, platform and operating system, screen
resolution, frame rate, idle time, and whether the game window is focused or minimised.
We use it to know which client builds and platforms are actually in use and to diagnose
performance problems. On the Windows client it also feeds the on-screen information
panel of the stream described in section 3.
- Crash reports — when the client crashes, on any platform, it may
send diagnostic information about the failure and about your device's hardware and
operating system. This is used only to fix bugs.
- Website logs — standard web server logs (IP, date, page, browser)
and the session cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising trackers.
3. The 24/7 player stream — Windows client only
This section applies only to the Windows version of the game distributed through
Steam. The Android and iOS clients do not capture or transmit any video or audio.
On Windows, Helbreath Nemesis operates a continuous public broadcast that shows real
players' gameplay. This is the most privacy-relevant thing we do, so we describe it in full.
- What is captured. When you are selected as the current camera, your
game client captures the game window's video and the game's audio and
sends them to our server. We do not capture your desktop, other applications, your
microphone, your webcam, or any window other than the game.
- What is shown on screen. The broadcast displays your character name,
guild, faction, current map and level alongside the video, and your gameplay reveals
your in-game position and activity.
- Where it goes. The broadcast is published publicly on YouTube and
Twitch. Those platforms may keep recordings (VODs), clips and thumbnails
indefinitely, under their own terms and outside our control. Once
something has been broadcast we cannot guarantee its deletion, and third parties may
have recorded or re-uploaded it.
- Consent and opt-out. Being broadcast is optional. You can withdraw at
any time from your account settings; from that moment you will no longer be selected as
the camera. Withdrawing does not remove recordings already published.
- A word of caution. Because the stream shows where your character is,
other players may use it to find you in the world. Bear this in mind if you choose to
participate.
4. How we use the information
- To operate your account and run the game.
- To provide support and answer your reports.
- To keep the game fair: detecting cheating, duplication, botting and ban evasion.
- To process and verify purchases, and to resolve chargebacks and disputes.
- To diagnose crashes and to know which client versions and platforms are in use.
- To produce the public stream and its on-screen information on Windows, if you have
opted in.
- To meet legal obligations when we are required to.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment processors (PayPal, Mercado Pago, Steam) — only what is
needed to complete and verify a purchase.
- Streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch) — the broadcast itself,
including the on-screen character information, if you play on Windows and have opted
in.
- Valve / Steam — if you link a Steam account, to the extent
required for the link and for purchases.
- Authorities — when we are legally required to respond to a valid
request.
Public parts of the game — character names, guilds, rankings, the ban list and the
stream — are visible to everyone by design.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and character data — while the account exists, and for a
reasonable period afterwards so it can be restored if deletion was a mistake.
- Chat and game logs — a limited period, for moderation and
anti-cheat purposes.
- Payment records — as long as accounting and tax rules require.
- Ban records — for as long as the ban stands, so that it can be
enforced.
- Crash reports and telemetry — only as long as they are useful for
diagnosis.
- Published broadcasts — controlled by YouTube and Twitch, not by
us. See section 3.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect our servers and databases. No system is perfectly
secure, and we will not pretend otherwise: use a password you do not reuse anywhere else,
and tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and
significant changes will be announced on the website. Continuing to play after a change
means you accept the updated policy.
